What’s in it for you

What you get as the person running it

A full room of people listening together at a community meetup
A community members keep coming back to.
  1. 1

Members who turn up between events

Your space is open all the time, so the community doesn’t go quiet the moment the monthly call ends.

  2. 2

    Newcomers who stick

Someone on reception says hello and introduces them. A new member who makes a friend in week one has a reason to come back.

  3. 3

    Less on your plate

Members take turns on reception duty and host their own sessions. You stop being the only one keeping the lights on.

  4. 4

A community that pays for itself

Charge for membership and Noza handles the payments. On a plan, every penny goes to you, less card fees. A handful of paying members covers your plan.

The problem

A group chat and a monthly call isn’t a place

Most online communities live in a chat app and meet on a video call. Between calls there’s nowhere to be, and on the call only one person can talk.

A woman slumped on a sofa next to a telephone, alone
  • Nowhere to hang out

When the call ends, the community goes quiet until the next one.

  • One conversation at a time

Twenty people on a call means one talking and nineteen waiting.

  • New members stay strangers

Joining means a link in a welcome email. There’s nobody there to say hello.

What the research says

If nothing changes

What a quiet community costs you

  • Members who never made a friend leave quietly, and you only notice when renewals drop.
  • You end up paying for a chat app, a video plan and a membership platform, and still have nowhere to hang out.
  • You and a couple of volunteers burn out hosting every single call yourselves.

Noza or a video call?

Between events
Your space is always open. Members drop in whenever they like.
Nothing until the next scheduled call.
Conversations
Lots at once: at tables, in the lounge, or with whoever’s nearby.
One at a time, or breakout rooms.
Welcoming people
A host on duty at reception, and an alert when someone arrives.
A link in an email.
Events
Talks on your own stage, and bigger nights at venues in the city.
Another meeting link.
Membership
Paid membership built in, with nothing taken on a plan.
A separate membership platform.
As you grow
Your building grows with your membership, free.
A bigger plan.

Built for belonging, not just meeting

  • In Noza: a home that’s always open

    A home that’s always open

Your community gets its own space in the city: a landing page, a reception, a stage, tables and a lounge. Members come in whenever they like, not just when there’s a call.

  • In Noza: a host at the door

    A host at the door

Put members on reception duty to greet people as they walk in, and be told when someone arrives. Newcomers meet someone on day one.

  • In Noza: events on your own stage

    Events on your own stage

Run AMAs, workshops and socials on your stage, or book a bigger venue in the city for the big nights. Members get an invite for their calendar.

  • In Noza: membership built in

    Membership built in

Charge for membership and Noza handles the payments. On a plan Noza takes nothing from it: your plan is just seats for your hosts and an audience for how many come at once.

Pricing

Pay for your team and your audience. That’s it.

Seats are for the people who run things, at £5 a month each. Audience is everyone else, priced by how many are in at once. Venues and your own building come with it.

What people pay

  • One big event? Take a bigger audience just for that month. It goes back on its own.
  • Selling tickets or memberships? On a plan, it’s all yours: Noza takes nothing, just card fees. On the free plan, Noza keeps 5%.
  • Just you? One seat, £5 a month: an office of your own for calls. Noza Personal

Prices in GBP, excluding VAT. Card fees on ticket and membership payments are Stripe’s, passed on at cost.

You might be wondering

Will my members actually use it?

Start with something they already come to, like your monthly call, and hold it in Noza instead. Once they’ve been, the space is there whenever they want to drop back in.

Is it free to start?

Yes. Your community gets its own landing page and can meet in the city’s park, cafés and venues, for nothing.

How does a community get its own building?

Start a plan: £5 a month for each host, plus an audience. 100 people at once is £49 a month, so a community with two hosts pays £59. Members who aren’t in at the time cost nothing.

Can our community be private?

Yes. A private community has its own building, and you decide who gets in.

Isn’t this a bit of a game? Will it look professional?

It looks like a place, not a game: real cities, real buildings, your own space in your colours with your logo. There’s nothing to win and nothing to learn. You walk up to people and talk.

Does anyone need to install anything?

No. Noza runs in the browser on a laptop or a phone. People make a free account and an avatar, and walk in. It takes about a minute.

Give your members somewhere to be

It’s free to start and there’s no card to enter. Hold your next meetup in Noza and see who stays afterwards.
